Born in a small town in Uttar Pradesh, Soni Khanna found in art a language for expressing her emotions and inner world.
Her delicate, rhythmic figures inhabit dreamlike spaces. Her couples speak through quiet gestures. At the heart of her practice is a celebration of womanhood: its sensitivity, warmth, boldness and independence.
Today, she works from her studio in Gurgaon, exploring contemporary painting, mixed media, Tanjore and marble art.
